Frequently Asked Questions
How long do I have access to the course content?
The AYC is offering our next training session in-studio with recordings from your reflection. You will have access to all the recordings and content for 6mths after your gradutation date.
When is your next training session?
How long does it take to get certified with the AYC?
We train every second weekend over a period of 10 weeks. This is followed up by an 8 day intensive of study and practice. Our next session begins February 10, 2024 and you will graduate on May 25, 2024.
When are the trainings held in the week?
Every second weekend 8am-5pm + an 8 day intensive (Saturday – Sunday) 8am-5pm each day.
What is the cost of the program?
We are thrilled to announce our 2024 registration has lowered from $3649 to $3399. Register for Calgary or Register for Lethbridge – Early Bird or pay a deposit to secure your spot today! All fees must be paid in full before the start of the training session.
Is the certificate widely recognized?
The program is Yoga Alliance Certified for total credibility and worldwide acceptance.
Are course fees tax deductible?
The program is the only one in Calgary federally certified as an education institute so course fees are tax free, tax deductible and RESP eligible.
Is the course taught by experienced trainers?
Our expert faculty have a combined experience of more than 50 years’ teacher training. Our lead trainers all have 200-ERYT or 500-RYT designations.
Where is the program offered?
Our February 10, 2024 program will take place from our partners beautiful studio at Live for Fitness and Wellness. This location has free parking and is close to many other ammenities.
Our Lethbridge, AB 200HR YTT will be held at Lethbridge College – Be Fit For Life.
Are there any perks when I sign up?
Yes! Once you register you have access to elevate your training with the AYC with a YTT only discount on any workshops or certifications offered 12 mths after your graduation. You also have access to any yoga classes offered, while in your training, at no cost.
Where can I find teaching jobs when I'm certified?
If you wish to teach after there are opportunities. Like any other certification you need to promote yourself and your skills. Community centres, schools, corporations, and studios are all places you can submit inquires. Remember! You get out of the program what you put in, if you want a 5-star job upon graduation, be sure to put in a 5-star effort in your learning!
What if I don't want to teach yoga but simply deepen my knowledge?
About 25% of our students come to deepen their knowledge, do self-exploration, or find community. Teaching after graduation is not a requirement but once you earn your certification you have it for a lifetime – and who knows where life can take you!
