Yoga Inspiration: Finding Your Way

Finding Your Way

Have you moved through moments in life where you’ve felt lost? When navigating your future feels more like walking through a foggy forest, unsure if each step moves you closer to or further from your destiny. You may start to move in one direction only to come to a dead end, or a barrier you cannot cross.

Then you pivot. Not because you failed but because you’ve gathered new information that allows you to intentionally change direction in search of a different outcome. This new path might not be easier, but appears steadier and clearer, and feels more aligned with your truest self.

Finding your way has so much to do with intuition. Yes, creating strategy is important, but listening to your inner voice will allow you to not just follow direction, but to move towards your best life. It helps you choose not just what direction to take, but why you’re going there.

We like to believe we can choose our life’s path. But the truth is, countless external factors determine your starting point. Many out of your control. Such as where you were born, your family affluence, access to experience and education. Few people who grew up in the desert dreaming of being a scuba diver because its not in their field of vision.

However, even through all the unknown every choice you make influences your future, in a way you likely cannot see until the moments have passed.

Finding your way isn’t about knowing the whole route. It’s about listening deeply, choosing intentionally, and trusting that each step you take is shaping your truest path ahead.

Within our asana our physical body dictate innate movements to allow us to move into the shapes within our practice. What if we played with changing that path at times and look at the outcomes?

Remember to always practice within your own limits and take care of physical and emotional well-being. Warm-up your mind, body, and breath before moving into this suggested practice.

Asana Practice: This practice is intended to begin in a Vinyasa Flow style and then to be repeated within a Hatha Style to allow you to look for different paths within the breath and body. This is your opportunity to play!

Close out your practice listening to your body for a 10-15min cool down and then 10mins Savasana for rest.
