Our Story . . .
The Alberta Yoga College was established by two senior Calgary yoga teachers over 12 years ago to provide an unmatched level of accessibility and professionalism in teacher training and yoga practice. Since 2021, new Owner & now Lead Trainer, Stephanie Power, has taken the AYC into a new era, creatively leaning into the delivery of their leading yoga education. “The AYC’s vision is to inspire people to live yoga. As I move deeper into my own understanding and experience in yoga, I realize that the most important lesson is that each and every student who arrives on their mat at the AYC teaches me how to move deeper into this life. They inspire me to continue my work to offer an exceptional yoga education. My passion is sharing my yoga journey with my AYC community and beyond and I will always be grateful to those who allow me to be part of their journey.”

This program was amazing from start to finish. Well developed and taught by amazing instructors. The school is top notch and the teachers are the best of the best. It was truly a transformational experience and the community I am now a part of is one of the most amazing groups of people I have ever met. I feel confident in the skills I learned and am excited to see where the training takes me.

Stephanie Ralph
ERYT 200 & RYT 500
Stephanie began her yoga journey to teaching in 2010 when she injured her knee and found yoga as a means to continue movement while in recovery. Little did she know how much it aided in that recovery at the time!
As an office professional by day and a weekend warrior athlete, she began to truly appreciate the impact yoga has on our minds and bodies. This led to her excelling in yoga training at the Alberta Yoga College and committing to bringing any amount of this nourishing movement practice into people’s lives. Which propelled her to further educate to obtain her 500HR RYT under the training of Jules Mitchell.
Stephanie lives outside the city of Calgary with her husband Navarro and beloved dogs, Frank and Spencer. She is the Owner & Director of Operations at the AYC and also a Co-CEO at a well-known social profit organization in the city of Calgary.
