Yoga Inspiration: Gratitude

Gratitude

This week’s inspiration comes a little later as I took time to reflect on the recent 200HR Yoga Teacher Training that ended this past Sunday.

Here’s a few of my reflections which kept bringing me back to the feeling of gratitude:

A Commitment to Oneself: It cannot go unsaid that it is such a gift to commit to oneself over the course of this 200HR program. The exploration of body, and mind. The building of knowledge, not of just teaching yoga, but of the philosophy behind the practice and how it can influence the way in which we move through the world. Committing to this type of self study is one of the biggest gifts and challenges one can experience.

Certified and Fortified: The 200HR certification is a wonderful accomplishment. But it’s the confidence that I see grow in each student that is palpable.

Now Go, Share: Once the experience is over there is an eagerness to go share all that is learned. Not for the sake of the knowledge, but in the hopes that – now as teachers – they can give their students just a glimpse of the self confidence, love, and exploration they know exists from this practice.

This leaves me with gratitude. For the practice and all it brings me, for the people I encounter along the way, and for the life I lead as a teacher and trainer. It’s not always easy, but it is certainly worth it.

Congratulations to the Fall/Winter 2025 Grads! I can’t wait to see what you do moving forward!

Suggested Asana Practice: this week, take your practice in your own hands. Take to you mat, explore what you are grateful for and breathe/move/rest with intuition.
